THE ROLE (RECRUITMENT OFFICER)

 

The Recruitment Officer shall be responsible for finding suitable candidates to fill open positions. This position shall report to the Recruitment Manager - Ghana.

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Continuously research and recommend new recruitment channels within agreed budget
  2. Actively prospect via all required channels (job boards, social media, on field, job fairs, one-on-one’s etc.) to ensure maximum pool of qualified applicants ready for vacant positions
  3. Coordinate with both internal and external parties for supply of needed manpower
  4. Meet walk-in applicants, explain ongoing recruitments to them, collect and assess CVs and do same for other channels
  5. Conduct interviews and select suitable and qualified applicants using the BIMA Global Hiring Process
  6. Ensure selected applicants bring all required documents before start of engagement
  7. Update employee records with all new joiners both manually and electronically
  8. Manage the new joiners onboarding process ensuring a timely and orderly onboarding experience
  9. Ensure all new joiners complete the required engagement forms and ensure information provided is accurate
  10. Perform other recruitment related tasks as assigned

 

THE CANDIDATE

 

  • Minimum of a first degree
  • Strong knowledge of recruitment standards and principles
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in recruitment, with not less than one year in recruiting sales force (both field and call centre)
  • In-depth knowledge of full-cycle recruiting and employer branding techniques (EVP)
  • Familiarity with different selection methods (interviews, assignments, psychological test etc.)
  • Hands on experience with posting jobs on social media and job boards
  • A sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on the company’s success
  • Ability to multitask and  meet tight deadlines with great attention to details
  • Critical thinking, proactivity and problem-solving skills
  • Strong sense of accountability and ownership – results-driven
  • Good time-management skills
  • Excellent IT literacy including excel, word and outlook
  • Excellent team player with great interpersonal and communication skills
