THE ROLE

BIMA is a multinational fast-growing mobile health and insurance company, using digital technologies to improve access to health and wealth information and services for millions of customers across the world. 

We are looking for a Corporate Relationship Manager to build and preserve trusting relationships with our customers. We’ll rely on you to find ways to outperform our competition and maintain our company’s positive image.

To succeed in this role, you should be an excellent communicator, able to work with sales and marketing teams and build rapport with customers. We also expect you to be a strategic thinker with an analytical mind and strong problem-solving skills.

Ultimately, you’ll maintain strong relationships with BIMA clients to boost our brand and profits in the long-run.

 

THE RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Proactively identify, contact and sell BIMA policies to corporate organisations.
  • Maintain a consistent high level of service delivery whilst identifying new business opportunities.
  • Serve as personal insurance adviser and or consultant to BIMA clientele base in the value creation process.
  • Manage all customer related issues ranging from online services to policy administration issues, payment of premiums, advice on new products and loyalty related benefits or services.
  • Conduct periodic visits to the client and establish strong relationship.
  • Develop and maintain a client referral database on potential clients.
  • Manage client exits whilst ensuring utmost customer satisfaction
  • Ensuring existing clients are satisfied through after-sales care, as well as gaining and using feedback
  • Identifying and approaching potential new companies or individuals to engage as clients
  • Researching industry trends and providing advice to colleagues about client strategy or new sales opportunities
  • Acting as a point of contact for complaints and escalating issues as appropriate
  • Ensuring that the terms of a contract are adhered to by both your employer and clients
  • Understanding and helping to meet the targets and aims of the client.

 

THE PERSON 

  • A minimum of a 1st degree in any discipline from a recognized local or international university
  • At least 5 years’ working experience in sales or client services environment
  • Have excellent IT skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Focused and structured in approach, effectively managing multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Creative, confident and professional person with high levels of drive and integrity
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills
  • The ability to communicate confidently – both through speaking and writing – with colleagues and clients from all levels of an organisation
  • Self-motivation and resilience.
  • A level of creativity when it comes to thinking of new sales opportunities
  • The ability to research and keep on top of developments in the industry (an interest in the industry will help)
